Six reasons families return to us
Inheritance-only practice
We do not take commercial contracts, employment disputes, or property conveyancing. Every hour our team works is spent on estate and inheritance matters.
Pace set by the client
Families come to us in moments of grief and difficulty. We adapt our timeline and communication to what is comfortable for the people we serve — not what is convenient for the office.
Written records at every stage
All our service engagements include written summaries and closing reports. Clients always have a clear document to reference, share with family members, or keep for personal records.
Deep local knowledge
Based in Chiang Mai since 2009, we maintain working relationships with district courts, amphoe offices, and land departments across Northern Thailand — relationships that smooth administrative processes.
Support for families abroad
A significant portion of our clients manage matters from outside Thailand. We conduct initial sessions by video call and handle all local steps on your behalf, providing written updates throughout.
Stated fees, no ambiguity
Our fee structure for each service level is clearly set out before engagement. Clients know the cost before they commit to any step, and we do not add charges without prior discussion.
Professional expertise in Thai estate law
Our attorneys have practised inheritance law under the Thai Civil and Commercial Code since the firm's founding in 2009. That depth of focused experience means we anticipate procedural issues before they arise and know how to navigate the district court system with minimal delay.

How we manage your file
Initial session — we listen, explain, and produce a written summary
Scope and fee agreed in writing before any further step
Active management with regular updates at each milestone
Closing report delivered at conclusion of the engagement
A clear, structured process
Each matter follows a defined structure from first conversation to close. This structure means clients always know where things stand and what happens next. It also means fewer delays — a well-managed file moves more smoothly through administrative and court processes.
- Scope confirmed in writing before engagement
- Proactive communication at each stage
- Written record at conclusion
Client care that is genuinely personal
Inheritance matters are not routine for the families who experience them. Our team prepares for each client meeting with that in mind. We do not hurry conversations, we use plain language, and we make space for questions that may feel awkward to ask.
- Sessions conducted at your preferred pace
- Available in person or by video call
- Follow-up questions answered between sessions
Transparent value at each service level
Three service levels allow families to choose the depth of involvement they need. A single session for clarity costs ฿4,650. Document support for a manageable estate runs from ฿10,000. Full representation for a complex or contested matter is ฿17,200. Each includes specific deliverables, stated in writing.
- No hidden charges or unbundled add-ons
- Scope defined before any work begins
- Written confirmation of terms provided
How We Compare
Rattanakorn versus a general practice
A general legal practice
Inheritance matters handled alongside unrelated work; divided attention
Standard timelines apply regardless of client circumstances
Fees may be unclear until invoice arrives
Written summaries not standard practice
Limited familiarity with Northern Thailand district offices
Rattanakorn
Dedicated estate practice — your matter receives full attention
Pace adapted to your situation and readiness
Fees stated in writing before any commitment
Written summary or report included in every service
Established relationships with Chiang Mai courts and district offices
What Sets Us Apart
Distinctive features of our practice
Remote-first capability
We are structured to serve families who cannot be present in Thailand. Video consultations, digital document exchange, and remote signing procedures are part of how we work, not an afterthought.
Inclusion of a written summary in every service
Even our entry-level Clarity Session ends with a written document the client keeps. This is not standard in the market — most practices leave clients to take their own notes during a consultation.
No obligation after a Clarity Session
Our introductory session is complete in itself. Clients are never pressured to proceed to further services. Many return months later when they are ready — we remain available throughout.
Proactive identification of complications
Experienced estate practitioners know what complications to look for: ambiguous will provisions, undocumented assets, competing heir claims. We look for these early and address them before they delay the estate.
